When I first heard Rihanna’s song S&M, I thought that it was very catch.  I knew the song was about sex, but I have to admit that I did not know what S&M meant and first so I looked it up. My Jaw dropped when I found it the definition. I knew that  she had been trying to get rid of her good girl image for quite some time, but this song really pushed the envelope. I normally do not listen to music that is overtly sexual, but I really do like this song.  Not  only is it a great party song, but it is also great to listen to when you are home.

The “sticks and stones may break my bones, but chains and whips excite me,” is the part of the song I like the most. I do not why, but that particular line sticks out to me. I like the video for this song too. I thought that it was very cool and creative. I know that it got banned in some countries, but I honestly do not think that it is that bad. In fact, I have seen worse videos on music channels.

S &M is definitely on the list of my favorite songs by Rihanna. I like the beat and the lyrics (despite the fact that the lyrics are a little dirty.) I think that whoever came up with the sheetmusic for this song is very creative and deserves to be commended.

I know Rihanna has since released a new album, but I still want to get her fifth album, Loud just because I like S&M so much. The thing that I like about this singer is that she is not afraid to push the envelope and do things that shock the media and  her fans.
